Dear Diary

Published in the first issue of the collective magazine 'COMMON CAUSE COLLECTIVE: Miseducation, Misconceptions, Miscommunication’ on the 28th of November 2019, Dear Diary is an unbiased re-enactment of daily real-life events from 11th to 17th November of 2019 during the Be water Movement in Hong Kong. Visualising the real-life events into distorted and destroyed rice bowls, a common everyday object in shared-dining culture, the series personalizes the traumatic influence this ongoing movement could bring to people‘s life. Even a simple meal is hard to take when your home is on fire.
